Production Coordinator - 3 Month Term

Position Summary

The manufacturing production coordinators oversee and coordinate the production process. They are responsible for scheduling production runs, coordinating between different departments (such as supply chain, quality control, and assembly), ensuring materials and resources are available, and monitoring production timelines to ensure efficiency and adherence to quality standards. They also address any production issues that arise and help streamline processes to enhance productivity and minimize downtime.

This position will focus primarily on the administrative side of supporting the production process, particularly data entry, data review, and report generation and distribution, with opportunities to learn and train in the tasks that provide more direct support and coordination to the production team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Enters information into databases and/or software programs by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on a keyboard or optical scanner, uploading data from outside sources, and/or transcribing audio and video content.
  • Reads source documents, such as purchase requisitions, work orders, or inventory counts, and enters data in specific data fields using keyboards or scanners.
  • Compares data with source documents and utilizes documentation verification formats to detect and correct recording and data entry errors and reports them to supervisors as needed.
  • Update standardized reports from database or source documents on scheduled dates.
  • Review reports or source documents to determine necessity of followup based on provided criteria.
  • Maintains operational records and logs of activities and work completed.
  • Adheres to organizational processes to maintain data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • A high school diploma or GED (or a degree in manufacturing, business administration, or related field)
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control
  • Working knowledge of computer usage and software, including word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs, with familiarity or ability to learn NetSuite data management
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Understanding of workplace safety regulations and practices to ensure a safe working environment
